What If....

Lately, Lilly's amazing imagination has been making me think, "Out of the mouths of babes."

Holding a piece of paper, "Mommy, what if we made this paper into a car?"

Picking up a leaf, "What if we used this leaf in a craft?  Isn't this a pretty leaf, Mommy?"

Most, recently.."What if the world was made up of only children, Jesus and God?  How would that be, do you think?....Maybe we would need teenagers to teach the kids things."

Me: "I think it would be best without teenagers, but where would all the kids come from without parents?"

Lilly: "The parents would have their kids and then God would take them away."

Rocket Fun

Recently, Lilly took a big, moving box and made it into a rocket.  She has been on many rescue missions in her "rocket." When she goes on a trip to space, she calls me from her phone that she has made using a paper plate and taped it to her helmet.  She is so creative.

Then, the other day we went to the mall and our friend gave her 3 quarters so she could ride the rocket at the mall.  She had a blast pretending she was headed off into space (although she didn't like the lightning on the screen while she was going).

Zip Line

We have been moving furniture around at our house and so things have been a little chaotic lately.  When I get started on projects like that, I tend to just want to finish no matter what the cost (not eating, not playing with my daughter, etc).

The other day, I could tell that Lilly just wanted me to play with her so I took an idea I had seen on pinterest that day and decided to give it a try.

It was a zip line for stuffed animals/baby dolls.

First we got a piece of fishing wire we had lying around (not sure why).  We tied one end of the string to the balcony on the 2nd floor and the other end to a table leg.  Next, we used a skirt hanger with 2 clips on it so secure a stuffed animal to the hanger.  Lastly, we hung the hanger on the wire and let it go.

It was a pretty fun little project that kept Lilly entertained for a while.  She loved switching out the animals and watching them zoom down  the line.

Twizzler Fun

My husband loves Twizzlers!  Lilly likes them a lot too!  One day, before eating her twizzler, she decided to create pictures with the pieces first.

Then, to tell a story.
